Final Week of Summer in Stranraer

Thu, 4th Aug 2022

#TeamStranraer’s final week of their summer scheme has come to a successful end!

Mull of Galloway!

On Tuesday, the 26th The Stranraer team took two minibuses down to the Mull of Galloway to take in and experience the amazing breath-taking views of the coastal cliffs, climbing up the 115 stairs to the top of the nearby lighthouse where we learned all about its extensive and interesting history!

Afterwards, we stopped by the neighbouring RSPB Nature Reserve to learn all about the different kinds of birds that nest around the surrounding cliff edges, and how to identify them, whilst there we checked out the CCTV Cameras which showed all different kinds of birds nesting nearby!

LA Bowl!

On Wednesday, the 27th our Young People and staff set off to Ayr for some bowling at the L.A Bowl! Lots of fun was had with the bowling, Arcade Games, Pool, and Music! A Few games done it was time to leave, a huge thank you to the staff at the L.A Bowl for making us feel welcomed!

Stopping at the nearby McDonald’s for a well-deserved bit of lunch, a perfect day out to end the summer scheme for this year and to officially start the Young People’s two-week holiday.

We wish all our young people a very lovely break, we will see you all soon!
