Halloween with Castle Douglas
Fri, 4th Nov 2022This spooky season, all the sites at Better Lives Partnership got into the spirit of things! #BetterLivesCD had themselves a hauntedly happy Halloween!
The team got into Halloween early, working with Bea Last to make some fantastic Halloween decorations even before October!

They went on to plan what kind of Halloween BLP Castle Douglas would have. Their first day back after the October Holidays would fall right on Halloween, so it had to be special. As they worked on more Halloween-themed art, they came to agree upon a movie night, and the movie selected was to be Coraline (2009).

They also worked with Bea to make some wonderful Halloween-inspired masks just before BLP went on the October Holidays.
We were also donated eleven pumpkins from Tesco, one for each young person at the Castle Douglas branch of Better Lives Partnership. We took one of these pumpkins and made a delicious Pumpkin Pie.

With the rest of them, we sent them off with the young people for them to carve on their own and use for Halloween over the October Holidays. We told them there would be a prize for the winner.
Look at the fantastic work our young people have done! The winner was Sean with his Little Pumpkin inside a Bigger Pumpkin! He won an engraved medal and a small prize. Great job! The other pumpkins were also highly commended.

We all hope you have a hauntingly happy Halloween!
