Join a Programme

At Better Lives Partnership we present young autistic people and additional barriers with a structured programme. In our locations, we run a variety of weekly sessions through our Bridge 2 Employment and Community Skills programmes. This includes support for young people in developing their own business and the opportunity to explore creative practices. These programmes help our young people develop personal positive outcomes and achieve them!

There are two routes to gaining a place on one of our prorammes. A formal referral can be made from a school, an organisation, or a service. Alternatively, young people can self-refer by requesting an application pack and application form. Once accepted to the project their needs will be assessed on an individual basis and an appropriate support plan will be developed. This could be part of an ongoing provision with another service working with the young person.

What does the course cover?

  • Employability
  • Independent Tasks (A selection of Short ASDAN Courses)
  • Enterprise
  • Work Experience Placement
  • Independent Living

Additionally, young people can opt to take part in Bridge to Business and Bridge to Creative through the Bridge 2 Employment programme. Creative sessions are also available in our Community Skills programme.

Better Lives Partnership runs from Monday to Friday 10 am to 3 pm for 46 weeks of the year. Contact time can be tailored to individual requirements up to 16 hours per week delivered over 5 days.

Places on our programmes do require funding, and funding options may be available- contact us to discuss.

How to Apply?

You can be referred or can self-refer to our Bridge 2 Employment project, and no Autism diagnosis is required for a referral. Referrals can come through education, social work or parents and carers.

You can complete a referral form online, or get in touch with us to find out more.

After you complete and return this you will be invited to come along and meet the Team at your chosen location.
