Our Exhibition Was A Major Success!

Wed, 15th May 2024

Better Lives Partnership hosted a fantastic Art Exhibition, “Artism” at the Quarrymen’s Art Centre, Creetown over the weekend. The exhibition featured artwork created by the young people that attend BLP’s three sites across Dumfries and Galloway.

From striking paintings to thought-provoking sculptures, the exhibition covered a wide range of mediums and styles and allowed the young people to express their talents in lots of different ways. The exhibition was a vibrant celebration of the young peoples creativity and hard work.

Thank you to all who visited! From young people, their families, locals, other organisations and some that were just visiting Creetown. The number of people that came to view the artwork reached a whopping 203! We had lots of brilliant feedback on the young people’s work, they put so much effort into it and it was great to see it recognised.

Well done to all our young people, you have created some truly amazing pieces of art!

The biggest thank you to Diana from AccessibleArt, we couldn’t have created such a successful array of artwork without your expertise. This was a real collaboration project!

Thank you to all the amazing artists that have done sessions with our young people, Annirose Ansbro, Sarah McCusker, Driftwood Cinema and TheITCentre and all others. Our brilliant funders; Regional Art Fund through DG Unlimited, Community Mental Health and Wellbeing fund Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway and Upland who have supported us in making this happen. And of course it couldn’t have been a complete event without our fantastic nibbles, big thank you to Caterbirds.

We can’t wait to host another event like this, just watch this space!
