Our Visits
Mon, 9th Jul 2018As part of our Employability sessions, the B2E group visit local businesses to find out what it takes to keep a business running on a day-to-day basis, and the importance of all roles involved. We have had the pleasure of visiting a few over the past couple of years. Some examples are The Selkirk Arms, The Gracefield Arts Centre & Kirkcudbright Gallery, The Castle Street Bistro, The Devil’s Porridge Museum and The Lauriston Gallery.
We have had the opportunity to meet with and listen to a talk by Alex Lowery on his experience of ‘growing up with autism’. The young people were inspired by Alex’s story.
We like to get out and about when the weather lets us! We encourage our young people to plan the routes and practice their leadership skills while getting some fresh air too!
