Social Media and Marketing Classes Start in Dumfries!

In Dumfries this week, our Communications Officer, started delivering her Social Media and Marketing course!

Last year, Calypso delivered a custom Social Media and Marketing course to the young people in Castle Douglas as part of her Modern Apprenticeship in Youth Work. Calypso achieved her qualification, with Borders College, last May. And now she is running the course in Dumfries. As part of these sessions, the young people have been learning all about media and how to analyze the media they come into contact with every day.

They have also looked at branding and completed a task on developing rebrands for companies like Coca-cola to appeal to different audiences. The young people really enjoyed this task of developing different aesthetics and personalities for brands and learning how to use Canva.
