#TeamStranraer takes a trip to Newton Stewart
Wed, 1st Mar 2023It is nice to be able to take a trip out for our work sometimes!
This week our Stranraer team took a trip out to Newton Stewart so our young people were able to complete tasks towards their individual ASDAN courses. One of the young people looked at the different war memorials and the impact that the First World War had on the local area. We also visited the Newton Stewart museum which is located in the former St John’s Church. We really enjoyed visiting the museum and learning about its large collection of artifacts! We would like to say a special thanks to the team at the Newton Stewart Museum who opened their doors just for us.
After a busy morning of learning, we headed to the Brigend Pantry for lunch! This was a great way out and a fantastic opportunity for our young people to complete some of their ASDAN tasks outsite of the workroom.
As part of our Bridge 2 Employment course our Stranraer site offers young people the option to complete a wide variety of ASDAN’s, suited to their interests, as an independent task.
