We’ve moved to Dumfries!

Fri, 25th Jun 2021

BLP is expanding once again, and this time we will be moving to Dumfries.

After receiving funding from The Hollywood Trust.  BLP will be moving to Dumfries to start Bridge to Employment @Nithsdale and Annandale, which will aim to develop a range of opportunities for young people with autism and related conditions.  We want to ensure young people in Nithsdale and Annandale do not face barriers to fulfilling their potential and are supported and empowered to live meaningful and independent lives. The project hopes to bridge the gap between school and college or employment by providing opportunities for young people to continue to develop their skills, and confidence and get ready for the next steps. We are particularly excited by the close proximity to the college as it offers so much potential for working in partnership with some of the other educational providers and helps make transitions smoother.

We have now taken entry to our workrooms at Grierson House, The Crichton Estate, and have officially made a home in Dumfries! We are well on our way to being ready to welcome young people to B2E @Nithsdale and Annandale this August.

And we celebrated this Monday by bringing some of our young people to visit the new work room and explore the campus!  We cannot wait to welcome young people to our Dumfries location this August!

Watch this space for updates for further updates about our Dumfries location, but if you want to know more about places for an August start at Better Lives Partnership or our programmes to please contact Catherine Phillips, Dumfries Team Officer at: cphillips@betterlivespartnership.org.uk .
