ASDAN Success!

Fri, 5th Sep 2025

Over the academic year 2024/2025 10 young people across our sites completed the ASDAN Employability Award. Young people completed 4 different units to achieve their award: Career Exploration, Enterprise skills, Overcoming barriers to work and Working with others. They worked together in groups as well as completing individual tasks to gain the necessary experience and provide the evidence needed for the accreditation.

Their folders of work were moderated internally after which an external moderation took place to ensure all work was of the required standard. Moderation was passed with flying colours and the external moderator said : “This was a superbly presented sample where the evidence was effectively organised and easy to find. The evidence was of a very high standard and the learners provided intelligent, thorough and detailed responses to the criteria in the  units. “

We are very proud of our young people and all the staff which supported the delivery of our very first Employability Award and we are looking forward seeing what the young people will do next.
