BLP is reaching out to Sanquhar

Mon, 6th Feb 2023

In October 2022 our Support Workers, Kristin and Debbie, started delivering outreach sessions to pupils from Sanquhar Academy.

Better Lives Partnership began outreach work as part of our delivery in October 2022 in order to give young people in remote locations an opportunity to access meaningful transitions to appropriate pathways for their future. We have been working with Sanquhar Academy on a weekly basis to deliver an accredited Environment ASDAN to a selection of pupils.

The Environment ASDAN was chosen as it includes a variety of practical and theoretical tasks within the units. And the young people have produced a variety of well-detailed pieces of work during the covered units.

Debbie, one of the Support Workers, who led the sessions in Sanduhar said: “They are a lovely group of young people and I really enjoy my sessions”

Members of our team will be attending Sanquar Academy Pathways evening on Tuesday 14th February to discuss transition opportunities with interested parties.
