Halloween with Stranraer
Thu, 10th Nov 2022This spooky season, all the sites at Better Lives Partnership got into the spirit of things! #TeamStranraer had a frighteningly fun month of Halloween!
Very early in the October, the team at Stranraer first dipped their toe into the spooky season by working on their very own Wheel of the Year magical cookbook, a Samhain-inspired book of seasonal recipes!
Just before the October holidays, the young people got into crafting some Halloween-themed goodie bags to be sold as part of our fundraiser for #TeamStranraer’s trip to London in 2023. They made them with glitter spiders and Day of the Dead lanterns and other spooky decorations.
Their first day back after the October holidays was October the 31st; Halloween. On their big return, they prepared for (and then the next day hosted) a big and brilliant, hauntingly fun Halloween party! #TeamStranraer became #ScreamStranraer for a night as they decorated the rooms, carved some pumpkins, put out some candles, and set up a fantastic karaoke machine!
They also laid out a lovely spread of Halloween-related foods, with chocolate skulls, cheese and guts nachos, ghoulish garlic bread, and pukey pepperoni pizza. There was also an apple-bobbing bucket, fun!
It was a very spooky Stranraer Halloween indeed!
