Meet Victor and Jack!

Fri, 3rd Feb 2023

At the beginning of this month, Better Lives Partnership #TeamStranraer were gifted two terrapins to care for in the workroom!

Tony Reid, from Stranraer Fire Station, very generously gave us two Terrapins for the young people to care for in our workroom in Stranraer. Since getting our two new friends we have made calls out across our social media channels, including Stranraer’s dedicated Facebook page, for suggestions of names. And our followers have not disapointed us!

We have had a huge number of suggestions for names, both in the workroom and online. So many in fact that the team were unable to come to a decision alone. This week we decided we were going to put all our faveorite combinations of names into a hat and decide what to call the terrapins that way. Fiona, from Dumfries and Galloway college’s Zest Cafe, very kindly agreed to come to the workroom and pull the names from the hat.

So we are now delighted to be officially introducing everyone to Victor and Jack. They have now well and truly settled into their new homes and are being very well cared for by the young people at Better Lives Partnership.

A huge thank you again to Tony for introducing Victor and Jack to #TeamStranraer!
