#TeamStranraer got lucky at the races!

Mon, 1st May 2023

On Wednesday 26th April #TeamStranraer hosted a Races Night to raise money for their upcoming trip to London!

Our Stranraer team is currently fundraising for a trip to London, with a goal of £5000 last week’s fundraising contributed another £900 to the growing total. They are now £1500 away from their goal.

The night was an amazing success and lots of fun was had watching the races. Our Stranraer Team Officer, Karen, said: “Once again our community came together to support better lives #TeamStranraer and we are
as ever grateful to everyone who came along on the night but also those who couldn’t make it but still made a contribution.”

Michelle, one of the young people, added: “It was hella good because I had fun spending time with my friends, betting on races, and enjoying myself.”

Lauren, one of our Employability Support Workers, said:   “I felt it went really well, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, it was something different and we had a good result in terms of fundraising.”

#TeamStranraer’s Race Night was supported by a number of local businesses and members of the community, and we would like to say a special thanks to Billow and Breeze, Tigh na mara, Ian Johnstone, Bee Creative, Ross Landsburgh, David Bickerstaff and Barr Pazz.

It is amazing to see the success of our wonderful #TeamStranraer in their fundraising efforts and we look forward to seeing what they do next to raise their remaining total.
